Empty Bucket

This is my candy container on my desk at work. Actually...it's not on my desk anymore, I removed it. Sometimes it is chockfull of delicious treats, from a Tootsie Assortment, to Hershey's Kisses, to Reeses Delights. For a while now...it's had one solitary grape sucker. Nobody wants that sucker, it's pretty clear. But...I've been kind of busy in my life lately, and filling the candy container isn't my top priority. Like...I don't get release time from work to head over to Willy Wonka's factory. And when I'm not at work, the last thing I need to be doing is buying candy. So...sadly...it's been empty (except for the lonely grape sucker) for a week or so. I don't think too much about it. Until the complaints start coming in. Seriously...you wouldn't believe how upset people get when they come into my office to find that there isn't any candy. It's like...sometimes, that's the only reason they came in here. It's starting to make me feel bad about myself. Well...it might, if it didn't just drive me crazy that they whine. So...I took it off my desk. Now people will probably complain that there is no candy dish...but I don't know what's worse...an empty candy dish, or no candy dish at all? I'll get back to you.

Um...

So I just cleaned out my purse, and counted 12...yes, an even dozen...lip glosses in there. I don't even know what to say for myself...except for that I can promise that the glosses in my purse don't represent even a fraction of my total lip gloss inventory. What that means about me, I can't really even say. I've been watching Heroes a lot lately, and I was wondering last night which superpower I would want, if I had the choice. You know...are the powers on the show completely random, or do they represent the characters that they belong to? And if they DO represent who those people are...and if my power were to represent my true inner nature...what would that power be? I thought about it for a long time. I never made up my mind, but holy moly, I have a lot of lip gloss.

Play Ball!

So, in June I'm going with Kristi and Val down to Houston to party like rock stars for a few days. I really can't even say how excited I am about it! Yesterday we were able to secure tickets to see the Houston Astros play the New York Yankees while we're there...woohoo! The game sold out in like 15 minutes or so, so we were super lucky...and I'm totally stoked! I'm not personally devoted to either team, but I think I'm supposed to cheer for the Astros, or else my brother will beat me up. The moral of the story? I have to go shopping for a Houston Astros hat and/or cute jersey.

Too much? I don't think so. I mean...in the words of one of the musical giants of the 80s...if you're gonna do it, do it right...(R.I.P., Wham!)

Hot Date With Mister Right

As long as I'm still waiting for my Prince Charming to come along, I'm going to take as much advantage as I can to go out with the cutest boy in Laramie...aka...Tyler! He took all of his girlfriends for a Birthday Bash at Chuck E. Cheese in Fort Collins this weekend, and we had a ball. At one point I even turned into a Mario Cart racer...but I generally don't like to talk about that. ;)

Time Sure Flies

Oh my gosh! I didn't realize it had been so long since I last wrote...I think my hair grew about 18 inches!

Ha ha ha...

Okay, so maybe I've actually gotten my hair CUT since the last time I wrote...and maybe I'm just shown here with my new Jessica Simpson hair extensions. Maybe.

The moral of the story is that I'm going to try to write more...but if I can't...at least I can write to showcase the days when I resemble a rodeo queen...=)

These Girls ROCK!!

Just a quick shout out to Kristi and Val...who are the greatest friends ever! We had so much fun this past weekend, kicking butt on Guitar Hero, hiking in the mountains, playing games, going to the parade, and road tripping it down to Denver to see Harry Potter! I love these girls WAY too much...and every day I get to hang out with them is one of my best days ever! I'm just lucky to have them!!

The Longest Week Ever?

Holy moly...doesn't it seem like when you're waiting for something good to happen, the clock seems to stop completely? This whole week has been that way for me...=( Finally, however, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel...

VALARIE IS COMING TO VISIT TOMORROW!!

Woohoo! Kristi and Val are my two oldest and greatest friends. Of course, by oldest, I just mean that they've been my friends forever...(even before we came to Earth, I'm pretty sure)...and not that they are old. Because of course we are all very young and spry. And always will be. Stop assuming that we're old. Jerk.

Oh wait...back to the girls. Val's arriving tomorrow for a fabulous girl's weekend with me and Kristi. We're going to be partying in Denver, playing around in the mountains, playing Cowboy Golf, slumber partying it up...the whole deal. We only have three days but we'll squeeze as much fun as we possibly can into those 72 hours! Of course, if we had nothing to do but sit around all day...I'd still be having the time of my life with those two. They're the coolest!

I'm so so so so so excited!!
