Beauty Mark

So…this morning I overslept, and when I’m in a hurry in the morning, something in my usually time consuming beauty regimen has to give.  So…because I’m so anal about my mascara, I knew that cutting it out would buy me at least 5 minutes.  Seriously…sometimes it takes even longer.  But…anyway…I came to work with all of my makeup except for my mascara, which I planned to apply once I’d gotten to the office.  You know, you’re not late if you’re actually in the building…even if you spend the first 10 minutes of your workday in the bathroom.  True story.  Anyway…while putting the mascara on, with a little too much flourish, I guess, I dropped the wand and gave myself a little beauty mark.  I think I look prettier already…but it’s subtle enough that I don’t even know if anyone will actually notice it.

The Windy City

I’m pretty sure that whoever named Chicago the windy city had never been to Laramie.  Maybe Chicago is windier.  If so…I never want to go there.  If I look this pretty with a Laramie wind induced comb-over, I can’t imagine how hot I’d look in Chicago.  My hair would probably blow completely off.

Wicked Witch of the Office

So...a couple of minutes ago, I was informed that I cackle.  I was laughing at a story earlier in the day...and my biggest concern was that I was laughing so hard that I accidentally snorted in the middle of the story.  Little did I know that at least one person overhearing me thought it might be appropriate to drop a house on me. "Hey Janine...do you realize that you cackle?" Um..."I've never been told that before...I guess not..." "You know...not every time you laugh...but today...it was a definite cackle." I'm not really sure what you even say to that.  It's not even that I was offended...(I've got pretty thick skin)...but I just thought it was odd.  I might say that to a good friend...but not to a random work acquaintance.  If I thought a work acquaintance was witchy, I would tell everyone BUT them.  Hee hee.  ; )

I think I learned a new trick, and this is just to see if it actually works...so...here's hoping!

So basically I'm just proud of myself for changing the layout of my blog. I see everyone else change theirs all the time and I'm always afraid I'm going to jack something up...or it might be that I'm too lazy...but I never change mine.
